What are Black Truffle Slices? We slice & preserve our fresh truffles at the peak of the season, when they are at their most flavourful. Black Summer Truffles (Tuber Aestivum) are usually only available from June to August.
This luxurious macaron is perfect as hors d’oeuvres and will sure wow your guests. Treat your taste buds to a Mediterranean cruise with earthy Turkish fig, flavorful Chèvre, fruity blueberry blossom honey, and luxurious black truffle. Mmmm, pure heaven!
2 egg whites
3/4 cup almond flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Poppy seeds for decoration
⅓ cup dried turkish figs, finely chopped
4 oz Chèvre (goat cheese)
1 tsp black truffle carpaccio (I use TruffleHunter Black Truffle Carpaccio)
1 tbs blueberry honey (or any honey of your choice)
Salt to taste
To make macaron shells, see my “Easy French Macaron” recipe. Sprinkle poppy seeds on the macaron shells to add a crunchy texture.
To make the filling, finely chop the figs and truffle carpaccio. Mix all ingredients until well combine Assemble the macarons. Enjoy within three days.
